Review: L’Oréal Youth Code Range

As women, we are always gravitating towards anti-aging products.
Whether we’re 15, 40 or 65 we’re concerned about how to slow down the process, stop those first wrinkles in their tracks, or prevent them altogether. The problem is, is that aging starts well before we see the signs. And while we know that, often there’s not much one can do about it because no one wants to have serious anti-agers in their bathroom cupboards at 35. Which is where L’Oréal Youth Code steps in.
It’s not for older skins, but is ‘coded’ to work on women who are starting to feel the wear and tear of daily life on their skin.

The range aims to rejuvenate dull skin tones many women now endure as a result of fast-paced lifestyles and little pamper-time. To tackle this while you sleep,is the heavy-weight of the range, the concentrate. While can be worn during the day, is best applied at night when the skin is undergoing repair. Even after the first use, the skin appears much smoother and the fine lines softened. It feels rich but not overly thick, so it won’t cause breakouts. The tube is a fantastic idea as it allows just the right amount to be squeezed out (unlike other messy serum applicators).

The moisturiser picks up where the concentrate left off, and ‘wakes up’ the skin. Unlike so many others on the market, this moisturiser has just the right amount of fragrance, and a small amount goes a long way. While it visibly plumps the skin and adds life to a dull complexion, the texture is perfect to act as a primer for foundation.

Easily the stand-out product, the eye cream is perfection. Instantly it brightens the eye, and the ever-so-slight tingling feeling alerts you to the plumping properties of this product (it brings blood to the area, which slowly erases bags under the eyes). Light-reflecting particles and the soft-focus powder mean you can skip the concealer occasionally, while its dewy-but-matte finish means it visibly rejuvenates the eye area and acts as a brilliant primer.

Whether you pick up one, or all three products, you’ll hopefully enjoy softer, smoother-looking skin from the first application like me.
