Will Thermage help my cellulite?

QUESTION:
I am looking for a treatment for cellulite and have heard of a procedure called Thermage. What is involved and will it really help?
ANSWER:
The Thermage CPT face and cellulite treatment involves the use of patented monopolar radiofrequency technology to effectively tighten existing skin collagen and stimulate the production of new collagen within all skin layers and the collagen strands within the subcutaneous tissue. Thermage s the only technology that can penetrate the skin to reach these levels, and hence deliver excellent skin tightening and lifting.
In 2008 Thermage introduced ThermaTip CL, designed to improve the appearance of cellulite on the thigh and buttocks. The amazing advantages of Thermage CPT are that only one treatment is required in most individuals, the treatment only takes 60 to 90 minutes, there is no downtime, and the results last between three to four years in most individuals. Most patients see initial improvements during the treatment plus have a positive sensation of skin tightening and cellulite reduction before they leave our clinic. Results continue to improve for up to six months after the treatment. Cellulite may improve up to 90 per cent in suitable individuals.
Clinical evaluations have demonstrated that the advanced deep heating treatment rebuilds collagen connective tissues and improves blood flow to the tissue, helping to improve the smooth appearance of the skin’s surface in just a single treatment.
