Facial Lipo Contouring

Resculpt your face with the latest laser direct from Paris.
Known as Lipocontrol, the machine will mainly be used for sculpting the body, in particular the abdomen, love handles, back, legs, under upper-arms, knees and calves, but is also said to work on contouring the lower face, jowls, upper neck and under the chin.
According to Dr Jack Ting, of the Laser Cosmetic Day Procedure Centre, in Coogee, Sydney, the first cosmetic surgeon to bring the system to Australia, “Lipocontrol is not meant for removing large amounts of fat at the one time, but can be used in conjunction with traditional liposuction to smooth out uneven contours, tighten the skin, and lessen post operative bruising.
“Realistically it can sculpture the face because its 1mm cannula can be inserted through multiple penetration points without leaving significant skin marks, if any at all.”
Dr Ting explains that facial sculpting with Lipocontrol is best if the patient has excess fat.
“The removal of jowls and fat under the chin, and tightening of the ‘turkey gobbler’ excess skin, is one of the important and successful applications of the machine.”
Suitable for any age, the treatment involves the patient taking an anti-anxiety pill, narcotic and anti-nausea injections, and then an infusion of tumescent fluid into the fatty tissues. “Unlike the traditional liposuction, there is no physical collection of fat removed, but instead liquid oil is squeezed out through the penetration holes, or sucked out manually by normal syringe,” explains Dr Ting.
“It is mostly a walk-in, walkout treatment, but I always say all surgery takes at least seven days or more to recover from.”
The initial result is evident within a week, but the optimal result will take three to six months. Cost is time based, but to smooth the jowls, upper neck, and fat under the chin could cost from $4,000.
