Winter Wonderland

When I arrived for my facial with the True Solutions team I was feeling rushed and stressed.  Beauty therapist Kylie put her hands on my shoulders and her eyes nearly popped out. “Hard as rocks,” she pronounced.

Thankfully, the Decleor Winter Sauna Facial starts with a back and shoulder massage. After verification that I wasn’t pregnant, which raises its own set of questions about my posture or girth, Kylie instructed me to lie face down on the massage table.

The bizarre sense of anticipation is almost as wonderful as the actual event. Kylie dribbled the heated balm down my back in an attempt to relax me.  It was pure heaven as the Decleor Relax Aromatic Massage Balm collided with my skin to create a symphony of pleasure. There are very few incidences in your life when lying face down on a table would leave you feeling so carefree.  The Decleor Relax Sauna Body Mask was then applied for additional pampering.

Back done, Kylie asked me to turn over. I am fortunate to have regular massages and yet every time the masseuse invites me to roll onto my back I have flashbacks to the day before my wedding 18 years ago when a facial started with a breast massage.

But happily not on this occasion.  Kylie went straight to work on my face, smoothing on a cream cleanser, Decleor Aromessence Excellence, with the most incredibly soothing scent. A cream cleanser rather than a foam wash was used because it’s less drying on older skin. Her hands moved firmly across my face in deliberate movements that are specific to the Decleor way. I could feel my skin responding.

The next point for clarity was about claustrophobia. As I’m not, a sheet of gauze was artfully placed across my face, leaving breathing room at the nostrils. Kylie than caked on the Decleor Aromaplasty Mask: a thick paste that was warm and soothing but got heavier as it settled.

While she was waiting for the mask to set, I was treated to an arm and neck message with essential oils, Decleor Rose D’Orient Essential Oil. If I wasn’t scared of moving the mask with unnecessary facial movement, I would have squealed with delight.
