Tinted Love

Some days the idea of putting on a full face of makeup just seems too hard. On those days (if you can’t go bare faced) reach for tinted products. They will add subtle hues to your face (read: you’ll look less ‘hobo’ and more ‘boho’) but your skin will still feel fresh.

Tinted Moisturiser
Once upon a time makeup artists would say this product did neither tint or moisturises well, but we’ve come a long way baby. This cream has a moisturiser like consistency but has coloured pigment to even out your skin tone. A favourite of beach goers and new mums, this easy to apply product is a great way to make you feel like you’re not ‘naked’ when you face the world. It is also a good introduction to make up for younger girls.

Tint hint: Look for a product with an SPF: moisturiser, sunscreen and colour all in the 1 application. Genius.

Cheek Tint
A cheek tint can be a life saver when it comes to sprucing up your face and time if of the essence. It can take a bit of practice to get the level of tint right for you (too much and you’ll look a little clown-esque, not enough and it’s waste of your effort) but once you’ve mastered it, this product will become a favourite.

Tint hint: Look for a check tint with a bit of shimmer to it and team with a dewy makeup look.

Lip Tint
This one is for the committed, much like a stain, a lip tint will add a flush of colour for the long haul. This product is great if you have an event, like a wedding or the races, or you don’t like to re-apply regularly. Chock-a-block full of pigment, a lip tint clings to your lips to provide long lasting colour.

Tint hint: Top up the sheen with a clear gloss. Use an oil-based makeup remover to rid your lips of any residual colour.

Eyebrow and Eyelash Tint
You thought I was only going to mention traditional products didn’t you? An eyebrow and/or lash tint can completely change the way your face looks. It can balance out the look of your face and add definition to your eyes. An eyelash tint is a great way to slash time from your daily routine and a great idea for those of you who don’t like the feeling of mascara. For the brows, a tint is again a time saver but it can also help define your brows and add structure to the face.

Tint hint: Boost your eyebrow structure by having them shaped before you have them tinted.
